"Makes me go, HUH??"

The other day I read a report that was basically an interview with an American General about embedding American forces with Iraqi police. The report was false and not up to date information! Here is the truth, "Once a militia always a militia!" You can smile at them, while you are with them, but once they are out of your presence it is a relief! Even when we have gone to visit them we know once out the gate, at their house it is game on! They earn 700 dollars a month when a militia will pay them a couple of thousand to kill an American. The math is not hard to do in a country of corruption!

We are training the Iraqi police, while we are also training the militia members! On more than one occasion we have been told that more than 70% is affiliated with a militia. We are currently working on a case that one of our top Iraqi police is supplying the militia with ammunition, weapons. and routes that US convoy's are taking! We then get on the road and take our loses, while the general sits in the IZ (International Zone)!

What a life! Come out and get dirty with us general. Live on the roads that are never safe and where you live minute by minute. Oh I forgot he's a general that travels by helicopter.

For example: Would you send a LA police officer with a team that is composed of Long Beach Crips to take down the Sacramento Crips?

Just 2 weeks ago a US NPTT team was called on by the Iraqi police to escort them to the hospital. Not more than traveling 2 miles with the Iraqi police, they were set up to be ambushed. Now this ambush consisted of 2 EFP's that most US soldiers do not survive, but they are our friends! HUH! I am sure this slipped the general's mind, since he has to think about what to eat for lunch steak or shrimp?

To be embedded with Iraqi's is the dumbest idea I have ever heard of! There are only 11 US soldiers and 165 Iraqi's. Iraqi people are use to the life style of no running water, no toilets with water to flush, and eating whatever you can to survive (bread and water). The US soldiers are already miserable since we are in Iraqi, but do we have to live with Iraqis and not sleep in peace. I can't see myself without bathing for a week and eating package meals everyday! The general on the other hand is eating hot meals and a sleeping on a bed in secure four star hotel. What a difference! You should of asked him: has he ever stayed with the NPTT teams on a fob within a fob? There is no such thing as a FOB within a FOB. It should be described as a house you make to save your ass!

Many soldiers with rank are here to check the block and become the next general to make stupid decisions!

We have 4 high ranking officers O-4 and above. Come see them perform and you can see for yourself that they are here for their OER and to earn a medal. Little do they know that heroes are not made and most of them are buried 6 feet before they receive a medal.

The US soldier is now a dime a dozen. As quick as we die, they will have another US soldier on there way to replace you! What are these people thinking?

We are not fighting a war like anything else we have seen! We are fighting people that place an IED and run to safety. Better yet, we are fighting people that plant an IED and come tell you, "hi" to your face that same day. The US general has to realize we have failed and there is no changing a society that has no will to change.

Have a great day, while I drive on the roads in Iraq and the general sits in the international zone!

Hey thedrifter. I did a quick peek at your profile. Hmmmmm. At first I thought, oh boy a woman about my age (you show birthdate of 4/2/57 I was born 3/23/58). Then I noticed you enlisted in 1970. I turned 18 in 1976 and enlisted within the month. How did you enlist in 1970? If your birthdate and age are correct (the math works) you were 13 in 1970.

Yeah, this was poorly written if nothing else. It made no sense to me other than the fact this guy was bashing on a General. Not sure what to make of the talk of the Iraqis since that too made no sense.

What a whiner. He's probably also ****ed because he can't get any cheese in Iraq to go with that whine.
