Here is where I am at. I got out in 1991 after desert Storm as a Sergeant over 6. I have a friend getting ready to retire as a CWO4 over 24 and think, wow, that could be me. I work with a young Marine Reservist who spent 7 months in Iraq with Lima company out of Columbus, OH a few years ago. We are always talking Marine Corps and I have been toying with the idea of getting back in, as crazy as that sounds at 40. I am trying to finish up a Bachelors degree and I am curious about age restrictions to be commissioned in the reserves? Also, has anyone else out there got out and went back in as an officer?

Thanks for any info,

If you're looking at the Marine Reserves; this is what, if memory serves, maybe correct, but check with your local recruiter anyway. It is my understanding that, prior service Marines, wanting to come back in, must have served at least 8 years and not be 35 yo or older. HOWEVER, I'm not 100% sure that applies to the Reserves.
