good morning ladies and gentleman.

i have a question about my son's MOS. he was originally supposed to be doing his MOS at 29palms, but after his MCT training at Camp Gieger he was told he is staying at Camp Lejuene to do his MOS there. he started out having to do 8 months of training and now it looks like it is only going to be 3 months. this is his MOS, ( MCES/UIC Beeest-508 ) can any one tell me what Beeest exactly stands for, and why all of a sudden they would change everything around regarding location and lenght of schooling?

thank you in advance for your help

michael

Looks like his MOS got changed. The only reason the location and length of his schooling could ever change is if his actual MOS itself got changed to something else in that field.

i guess what i really am asking is what the acronym Beeest stands for. i understand that things change and they need to move people around in the corps. i am just wondering what his MOS is now or where i can look to aquire this information.

this is his MOS, ( MCES/UIC Beeest-508 )

that is not his MOS also. that is his school and class number(508) to direct his mail to the proper place. The 5-08 is the month and year of his class. He will probably be an MOS 1142.
