Hi,

I am looking for Marines who have tried virtual reality (either Virtual Iraq or Virtual Vietnam) as a PTSD treatment. I'm working on an article for The New Yorker magazine about VR for PTSD and would like to talk to Marines who have been given this treatment option. (There aren't a lot of you since it's only available at a couple of hospitals right now--SD Naval Hospital, WRAMC, the Manhattan VA and a few other places). I don't need to use names, but it would be helpful to have real stories about this kind of treatment to get the word out.

I can be reached at: suehalpern@gmail.com

Thanks a lot.

Dear Tracker,

Thanks for the info. I'm looking to talk to anyone who has been through VR therapy. The VA won't give out the information because of privacy issues, so I've been hoping if someone on Leatherneck has done it, we could bypass the bureaucracy.

Thanks for your help with this.

Dear Tracker,

That would be great. it's really new so there aren't many who have done it. But I'm also interested in talking to anyone who decided not to do it, too.

Thanks. I'll wait to hear from you--
