Looking for photos and stories of the early days of aviation at Quantico (1919-1976) for a research project. Its a long and colorful history and I would like to preserve as much of it as possible. Especially sought out are photos of the facilities and prop aircraft that operated out of Reid, Brown and Turner Fields. I was there from 75-77 and served in SOES and HMX-1. I was at Quantico in 1948,49,& 6 months in 50. Went to Korea and in 52 ended up back at "Q" at MCATS teaching in the Ordnance School, Fire Control , Gun Sights, & Bomb director. Have some picts of the Ord Crews & the workhorse Corsair also have a year book from 1949, I think. Was in AES12
and Hq. Sq.. Any thing I can help you, will try.
