Pearl Harbor photographer dies at 92

PORT ANGELES, Wash. — A man who took some of the first pictures of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor has died.
Lee Embree wife’s Vee says he died Thursday at his home in Port Angeles. She says he died in his sleep apparently of natural causes. He was 92.
Embree was an Army staff sergeant aboard a B-17 from California that flew into Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941, when he snapped photos of the attack.
The Museum of Flight in Seattle recently opened a display about Embree and his photos. He also has been featured in a KCTS-TV perspective of Northwest World War II veterans.
