I see 47 views on this thread, but not much action on the donation page. Marines, we do take care of our own don't we? Please do not let this thread fade into the past. Take action. It's not about me, it is about today's Marines.

Just 5-10 dollars Marines. A lot of us doing a little each adds up in a hurry. Marines don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk. Make it a personal goal to support this cause. Pass the word. Put this out on your email lists. Send it to other forums.

I have half of my disability check sent to navy relief fund each month automatically. Just because they ahve helped me before.

I'm the father-in-law of a severely injured Marine who is in the Palo Alto, Ca veterans hospital with TBI. Every week a representative from the Injured Marine Corps Semper Fi Fund comes to visit my daughter and son-in-law. In fact , the rep (Doc Barker) usually comes in twice a week to see if there is anything my daughter needs. In a few weeks our Marine will go through an intensive 8 week TBI program at the Kentfield Rehabilitation Hospital in Marin County (just above the Golden Gate Bridge). This area has one of the highest rent districts in the United States. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is going to pick up the rental tab for my daughter during that time ($3000) so that she can continue to be with Sam. Since Sam was injured in Iraq back in July of 2007, the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund has been there for our family time and time again. Providing for hotel stays, sending our family back and forth to Bethesda Maryland for two months when Sam was still in a coma. The Semper Fi Fund has been there for us from the beginning and continues to be there for us. We can never repay them for their generosity. Please contribute to this organization. The Marines truely take care of their own.
PS: My daughter, Erin, has spent every day by Sam's bedside (7 months), usually 12-14 hours per day. If you would like to leave her a note of encouragement, please go to the website I maintain to keep family, friends and well wishers updated on his status.

tneria01 and DUFFER--Thanks to both of you :thumbup: for your supportive posts. I hope someo folks will take your posts as motivators to make some donations. I need help from folks like the both of you to spread the word and motivate people. This effort has nothing to do with me, but everything to do with today's WARRIORS. What a great priviledge to be able to support them in this way.
