Female Marine is assaulted sexually by an officer, then disappears..hmmm...

i hope and pray she is alive and well.but something tells me there is more to this story, perhaps that male officer should be investigated more throughly.

Its news to me that a Corporal is an Officer these days in the Corps.

Old Marine,Sir,When this story first broke here in NC...a reporter said a Lt Col was accused of raping this girl...and then the NCIS told the reporter he could not comment because an ongoing investigation. Typical media fuk up and reporting before they know the whole scoop ......cart before the horse.

The media didn't actually name a Lt. Col. did they?

I always saw it written as "a superior officer." Of course, to a Marine or anyone with a minor amount of military knowledge, this would mean at least a 2d Lt or higher. But to our media, who have no knowledge of anything, a corporal dorking (with or without permission) a lance corporal becomes a "superior officer."

A distinction without a real difference in this case, unfortunately.

Please learn that a Corporal is not an officer.
