Would anybody be able to tell me a good place, online or a store, to purchase a quality Ka-bar? I would also like it be made in the USA. I have looked around my hometown, and I am not finding any that I like. I am getting it for my boyfriend as a present. Nothing says "I love you" like a Ka-Bar lol! No seriously, he was looking at them and I want to get it for him when he is promoted this year. Would I also be able to have it engraved? Thank you to all who reply!

thank you guys! Kaboom- that is an awesome site, thank you very much! I would just have him go on base and I buy it, but it takes the fun out of the surprise. And that site also does the engraving which will be great. I know he'll love it. I was wondering if I should purchase the serrated edge or the full straight edge? I am thinking serrated and if he wants a straight edge that would be a good retirement present.

is manufactured in Olean New York. I have forgotten the name of the company but it may be just Kay-Bar?

You know, I was planning on getting my boyfriend the same thing. I was actually gonna get it for him for his birthday before he left, but I couldn't find one in time. So, I'm gonna get one soon to give to him once he gets back next month.

Yes, Ka-Bar.
The companys fighting knife is made here in NY...other models, such as the Kabar Mule are made out of country...
