The guy who is wearing these blues said if I knew what was wrong with this picture, to don't say it...he already knows. I told him I don't know what was wrong with them and now he won't tell me. What is wrong with this picture? It's kinda big sorry.

When was the picture taken?
If it was recently, then:
If he intended to wear Dress Blue Alpha, he is missing his National Defense Medal.
If he intended to wear Dress Blue Bravo, he is missing his National Defense Ribbon and Rifle Qualification Badge.
I can also say that the blouse looks a little loose for him. He's also been sitting down a lot in those trousers since they were last pressed.
Lastly, he's got a **** eating grin.

That blouse is way too loose. He should get an extra week of guard duty for wearing less than perfect Dress Blues! :evilgrin:

His gig line is off. He is smiling. The blouse doesn't fit. The pants need to be pressed. He doesn't have his medal or ribbon and shooting badge.
That's all I see at first glance. I do know if he was one of my Marines he would be miserable for looking like that in blues.

Well if thats the case, then hes missing his Firewatch ribbon and shooting badge, or his NDS medal if thats what he was intending to wear. The entire uniform looks like it was only half assed tailored, if even at all. (Please don't say this is how they are issuing these at the Depot now). His trousers dont look like a iron has ever touched them before. I'm sure the list can go on but I'm not really in the mood to look for them.
Speaking of being out of uniform. Anyone see the article in this weeks Marine Times about the Marine who gaffed off the CO of Camp Lejeune when she corrected him on wearing boots and utes in one of the 7 Day stores down there?

Yeah, that's all I see as well but I'm sure with it looking that nasty that there have got to freakin fleas repelling from several irish pennants. Yeah, he would be freakin' strong if he wore that nasty uniform while in my unit.

Over all he is a bag of worms!
The first and second things I noticed was that the gig line is off and the blouse is way too loose. The third is his brass is fingerf**ked! The fourth with his blouse too loose it is displayed as an uneven togetherness where the blouse hems meet. The trousers are wrinkled and if you magnify the picture and look at the standing shadows you can see those hangman's ropes blowing in the breeze!
I won't comment on the ribbons and badges as that is a whole new thread!

The gig line is off and the piping on the collar is off, probably because it is too loose. If I saw this is public, I'd have to step in.
I have one for you. I saw a picture in Rolling Stone of Elton John and his "husband" taken in England. The husband had on one of our beloved Dress blue coats!
Also, in Blender, a guy from Outkast had on a blues coat in a picture. AHHH!!
They look as though he bought them out of a J'ville pawn shop and never had them tailored. What ya wanna bet the length wasn't right either.

I know whats wrong though, that person standing behind him is wearing purple velvet trousers. That just aint right i dont care who ya are.

That's exactly what I thought when I first noticed all this crap wrong with the uniform...that he was just some dumb kid who bought the uniform in in some pawn shop and "playin" Marine! If he was just some dumb "boot" he would've been checked by SOMEONE in his unit!!!

It makes me wonder if this pfc was a honor man in boot camp and went right to Vietnam in 1965. He would not have a fire watch ribbon in 65 untill about July of that year. Like I said before that is how my uniforms looked on me right out of my sea bag when I got back in 66. I had lost 45-50 lbs in Vietnam. Beleave me there was no one there to chew our ass out about bad looking uniforms. We went through a shake-down and we were on our way. Lets not get to upset untill we know why.

Real piece of work. Maybe he did just return from somewhere and drag the uniform out of a seabag, but WTF. I think I would go out in public in pajamas before I donned that outfit. I see nothing to smile about here.!!
