"Here's the stick!"

"No carrot?"

"Sorry. Here's the stick."

Kinda reminds me of a story from the old USSR days:

An American Senator of the Democratic persuasion was visiting Red Square in Moscow during a "fact-finding tour", what we referred to as TAD (Travelling Around Drunk). A hooligan, Soviet term, ran past the Senator and snatched the Gucci briefcase from his hand. The hooligan had not gotten 5 yards when a Soviet Militiaman drew his piece and put three rounds in the X-ring. The Senator and the Soviet Militiaman ran up to examine the body: The Senator for signs of life and the Militiaman to check his group. The Senator screamed at the the Militiaman, "You didn't even fire a warning shot!" The Militiaman replied, "Did fire Warning Shot; is warning to other Hooligans to not f**k around my beat!"

Syria, Iran, Jordan, North Korea......have you heard the Warning Shot???????
