Hello Marines. I am coming to you for advice. I want to joining the Marine Corps Reserve, go to school and then go into the PLC program. I am planning on following a plan that I found on here. http://www.leatherneck.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28807 (LivinSoFree's second post) this is the link for the path I want to take. Right now I am deciding whether I should sign my DEP when I turn 18 (21 January) or complete a year of college and go to Recruit Training after my freshmen year. What are your thoughts on this? The recruiter I have been talking to and my friend who completed Recruit Training a week ago are telling me I should go to Recruit Training this summer. I know it is ultimately my decision but I am looking for some advice because right now I do not know what to do.

Congratulations, Ted. You posted with a profile all filled out. And using the Kings English To boot. As far as your question goes,,,,,Gotta be your decision. But with your first post,,, You got my respect.

A year of college will get you closer to OCS, If thats what you want.
