Sorry to see him go, but ,at least, all his broken bones don't hurt anymore. Truly an Icon. Without replacement.

Yea, I heard of him. A new Evel? Wasn't he just doing old stuff? No Ceasers Palace, No grand canyon.

You have to give the man credit. When he crashed he always got back on that bike(after treatment). He never gave up.

Bob made a lot of jumps but around 1974 he was trying to jump Appalachia lake in West Va (small lake)He was jumping the end ,like a cove probaby 300 ft.Anyway just before the jump it rained and they wanted to cancel it. Next thing I saw was about 25 MC gang members trying to turn Bob Gills motor home over,so he said he'd jump..The jump was almost perfect but with the poor traction he was a little short and missed the ramp and broke his spine, poor guy..

LOL, Leggos-----

He did help to make life fun with his stunts. I missed him as soon as he decided to quit doing the impossible.

He was smart if he quit. Better to raise grandchildren, than dasies.
