New Ship Date

Well Just got the Offer tonight. Instead of Leaving 20080107. I'll be leavin about 3 weeks earlier on 20071217. And for leavin early they are gunna give me PFC, and $50,000 for The MCCF(Marine Corps College Fund).

I can't wait to go now! I am extra Motovatied right now. If I wasn't hosting the Poolee midweek chat right now (which the turnout right now aint to good, that means get yer arses in there) I'd go dome some Moto PT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOOOOOO!!:banana::thumbup::flag:

why are they giving you pfc for leaving early?

I'm getting Pfc. promotion before boot camp for being Guide at my RSS. I've seen people get promotion and a bonus for leaving earlier than expected. There's really no way to tell how a NCOIC decides to give a Pfc.
I remember a poolee get Pfc. before boot camp, and as soon as she got back she was a LCpl.

I dunno why. But I ain't gunna argue with it, I guess they really wanna get this open slot filled. The person that was supposed to be shipping in this spot was discharged. He was from a different RSS in this RD so they called my recruiter and told him to offer this stuff to me, I think they also did it cause my ASVAB scores were great.

Just to clear up something, when you enlist and are contract PFC, for what ever reason, you don't get to wear that rank until Marine week on the DEPOT. While you are training, everyone is a recruit! Nobody outranks anybody!

Congratulations Miller, I know you put a lot of thought and considerable time in making this decision. Under the circumstances, I understand why you elected to wait for the later ship date. Enjoy your holidays with your family. Boot Camp will be there in January, waiting for you.

I'm excited, but right now I'm trying to get a big ass foot out of my ass right now.

Today's Pool Function was conducted at Camp Darby. Ran the "Darby" mile. Boy it was a *****, and crawling under barb-wire for what seemed like forever.

I definetly stoked, on monday I'm going to finalize the paper work and start getting everything I need together. Going to PM some people for addresses and what not and I may even call Rhonda;)

Just got word today. A Warning order came in telling my NCOIC that he could only send 3 of us on the 3rd instead of 5. Since I have a UH contract, I got dropped to the 16th.

So that means if everything goes as planned. Jared and I will graduate on the same day.:thumbup:
