Well everyone, I took my DLAB today, and I passed by scoring a 130. I am very happy that my recruiter managed to make it so I can take it locally, I doubt I would have done so well if I had to fly out to take it. Now that I've got that out of the way my recruiter and I just need to work on getting my job squared away, and I will be good to go.
All the information I found on this site and about.com's military page on the DLAB was very helpful in my success. I would reccommend for anyone about to take the DLAB to do a search here on dlab and read all the threads about it. Learning all the rules of English grammar was also vital to my success, I checked English Grammar For Dummies from my local library and studied that for a while befoer testing. What was probably most helpful is my experience with the Japanese language and the courses I had taken on that really helped prepare me to succeed, I need to E-Mail my teacher and tell her that.
Whew, now I take a break for a little while until I take my CLEP Natural Sciences on Friday.
