5082 It is just a picture of a Marine frozen in time.
Some see the obvious, a Marine with no hands
and they pity him. I see a Marine with pride
in the Corps, I see courage deep, I see a Marine
who does not need someones pity. I see a
Brother with the Marine Corps Spirit, adapt and
overcome, In short, I see a Marine.

This Marine lost his right eye in Iraq and has very little
vision in his left. Yet you will not have to ask, what service
were you in? For his prosthetic eye says it all.

I salute and honor all veterans who have come back wounded and/or maimed, they deserve the greatest honor we can bestow...and even more so to all who never came home. I know they don't want recognition or parades or medals or money...but to just be remembered. They're the true heroes....
