I never got to fire an M-16A2 (still had the M-16A1 when I left active duty). However, did fire one of the Colt 'Sporter' models (had the thicker barrel and some other imnprovements like the M16A2). Seemed like a more solid weapon than the M-16 & M16A1. On the other hand, it didn't have the wear & tear of the M-16's I fired. Guess for long distance accuracy & kinetic energy (and close-in butt-stroking, if required), can't beat the M-14.

As we all know, reguardless of all other known weapons that are used, it will always get down to the Basic Rifleman.

They are like "paperwork" in the head.

Someone has to do the final clean-up.

With a RIFLE!
