I've searched the web aswell as leatherneck.com looking for this answer, but couldnt find it. Any Marine care to lend me some knowledge? And do ALL Marines on MCSF go 03XX?

all Marines who are on thier first enlistment start out as 0300. at least, thast how it used to be. once you are an NCO, a non-0300 can sign up for security forces

So a Poolee contracted under Marine Security Force (PRP) will go 03XX until they are NCO?

no, they wil go 0300 until thier first enlistment is up. first you will do your tour with a MCSF co., then you will be shipped to an infantry unit to finish out your enlistment

Ohhh. That makes sense. Thank you, sir. Would you be able to tell me where MCSF training is and how long it is?

that I CANNOT tell you, as even though I served two years in Marine Security forces, the only training I ever recieved in a school setting was SOI. then I got shipped straight over seas to a MCSF unit, and recieved on the job training (OJT) and I was a corporal, not a sir LOL!

anyway, if you get sent to Bangor, or Kings Bay, it is the most boring crap in the whole world. stand there for hours and hours looking at nothing but swamps and trees and fences. it is a very vital job, but not one where you get to do alot. you are mostly locked into a very confined space for a week. at least, it used to be that way, not sure how they do it now
