MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Gerald “Jerry” Swanson, 64, formerly of Escanaba, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at his home in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Detroit, the son of Albert and Mildred (DeCaire) Swanson.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964 until he was honorably discharged with Military Honors.
He married the former Ovelia “Pete” Nuncio.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert and Ronald; one daughter, Christine; two stepsons, Joey and Scot; two brothers, Kenneth of Escanaba and David from Orland Park, Ill.; grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert, and stepdaughter, Michelle.
Visitation is today at the High Point Funeral Chapel from 1 to 2 p.m. in Memphis with Military Honors.
