Well..........how was it? Was anything what you expected? What were your DIs like? (DAMN! I sound like a Poolee!)

Thank you all for the warm welcome. As far as the difficulty of boot camp. Some things were easier than others, but when you really want something then nothing else matters. But, you all know that.
Hey Marcus, good to see another Alpha dog on here, I just graduated from platoon 1003, feels good to finally be a Marine. Bootcamp, as I look back on it it now at least was easy, 100% mental and 10% physical. What platoon were you in Marcus?

My platoon had some of the nastiest recruits you'd ever meet. Frankly, there were two or three that I wouldn't trust to watch my back in combat. But what can you do when the Corps needs numbers?
My platoon also had some of the best Marines-in-the-making that I was proud to share 13 weeks of my life with. I would gladly give my life in combat to protect theirs and I know that they would do the same for me.

Wow, when I was in Alpha last summer GySgt Lepome was SSgt Lepome and the kill hat for the platoon downstairs. Has his cadence gotten any better? We always made fun(on square away time, of course) of the way he called cadence, he had a tendency to draw it out, its kind of hard to explain if you haven't heard it before. Anyone have SDI SSgt. Cortes? He was my kill hat last summer, kind of hard to believe the Marine who cause so much misery is now a SDI, haha.
I couldn't stand listening to GySgt. Lepome's Cadence, and we would also poke fun at it every time we heard it... lol

Heh, his cadence is still the same. We had a real hard time drilling when he was marching us, but we managed. It was one of the first things performed on our "gong show" though. :p
