A Marine is a minister like Pat Robertson.
A Marine is someone who can be ferociously aggressive;
yet will not hesitate to drop to their knees and pray for a fellow Marine who needs help.
A Marine is someone who wears their red and gold jacket with pride long into their 80's.
A Marine is Catholic, Baptist, Mormon, etc.
A Marine is someone who comes from the inner cities and the small towns of rural America.

A Marine is someone who stands guard on our Navy ships.
A Marine is someone who can stand out in his dress blues, yet not be adorned with fancy patches.
A Marine is a four star general or a private.

A Marine is part of a family that look out for their own.

I can go anywhere in the United States and can walk into a recruiting station, identify myself as a former Marine, and if I need help, will get immediate help.

Marines who I have never met on this board. personally were willing to drop what they were doing and pray for me when it looked like my twins might die.

A Marine captain who was part of the ROTC program at the University of Missouri was willing to purchase something for me on campus, because I wasn't a student or faculty member.

A Marine is part of a world wide family.

A Marine is stereotyped, and yet continues to march.

So to the person who asked in a different thread, " What the f*** is a Marine?

Answer: I am.

A Marine that is in a crowded room can always tell you if there is another Marine in the room. Marines somehow evolve around each other.
