I recently read the story of a young girl illegally stip searched in Mt. Washington KY, who was ordered to be be stip searched at the insistence of a caller who claimed to be a police officer. The ordeal lasted for over 3 hours.

After the North Hollywood shootout, the families of the gunmen sued the city for wrongful death and won. Reason, the city of Los Angeles did not get their relatives speedy medical care. One of the gunmen blew his head off. I question if a rapid response ambulance would have done any good. Yet, how many people were wounded in this shootout with two mad gunmen spraying bullets? Conveniently these details seem to have been conveniently omitted.

Now, 4 Marines are facing an uphill legal battle for an incident in Haditha. Conveniently details of an insurgent plan to set these Marines up seems to have been set aside. This is an example of what I consider selective due process. In the case of the Duke Lacrosse Players, key evidence was omitted, the prosecutor bended the rules and is now disbarred. But what about the players? How will they recover from something they didn't do, because of someone's political ambitions.

I'm beginning to wonder if the legal system in this country needs a serious overhall. I was told once by an attorney that if an individual breaks into my house with a weapon, with the intent to do possible harm, I can take action to defend myself and my family, but I have to be careful. If the person I shoot lands inside my house, than it's justifiable, if they happend to fall outside, then it can be considered murder. Not to mention, if the person I shoot has a family, I potentially can be sued. So who has the rights?

The Declaration of Indenpendence says all men are created equal, but are they represented equally by the legal system. Are these Marines from the Haditha incident going to receive equal representation, or are they going to be used as political scapegoats.

I recall a case back in the 1990's of a middle school teacher who was accused of molesting one of his students. An investigation showed that the girls that accused her teacher, lied because he gave her a failing grade. Apparently, after this teacher wouldn't give into her repeated threats of what would happen if he didn't raise her grade, this teacher is now branded as a registered sex offender, lost his teaching certificate, and is pretty much black listed. This teacher even ended up spending some time in jail. The judge, wanting to make an impression on these teenagers, put them in jail for 4 hours for filing a false police report, and to get an understanding of what they did to the teacher they falsely accused. Suddenly the juge became a target of all sorts of legal actions for, " ruining that poor girls life" What about the teachers life?

I saw a special on TV about this young teenager who gunned down a family of four. By some strange miracle the baby of the family survived. I saw the pictures of this baby, and I'm surprised anyone shot up that bad could survive. The teenage killer pleaded for her life saying she was just a kid. Well, in this case the judge didn't buy it. Marines will soon be going on trial for an incident in Haditha, pushed behind the scenes by Congressman John Murtha of Pennsylvania.

Information has been uncovered showing that these Marines were set up. Why isn't this information reported in the media? Because that might put a different light. Suddenly these Marines might not be regarded as murderers.
Let's hope and pray these Marines don't end up as a statistic to advance the liberal agenda.
