Hey Leathernecks. I am a gun dealer in California (yes we still exist) and I have been specializing in AR15 sales for the last two years. Yes real AR15s are legal in California again, you just have to make sure they have a fixed magazine or they don't have any "evil features" on them.

Anyway, I teamed up with a company called Centermass Tactical Solutions out of Oregon and he has produced something I think you Devil Dogs might like.

Centermass TS Marine Eagle/Globe/Anchor Stripped Lower Receiver (http://www.tenpercentfirearms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=324)

Yes these are 100% fully functional AR15 stripped lower receivers. They are not neutered, sealed mag well receivers, this is the real deal. As such I have to ship them to your FFL dealer, but once you get them, you can build them up from any other company's parts you want (make sure to follow your local laws).

These would be great for you national match shooters who want to let the competition know who you are and where you come from. Nothing says Marine like having the EGA on the side of your rifle.

If you have any questions shoot me an e-mail at guns@tenpercentfirearms.com. I know this is my first post and I am trying to sell something, but I hope you don't consider me a useless spammer as I am not trying to sell you cell service or porn. If a Marine rifleman isn't interested in an EGA engraved AR15 lower receiver, then feel free to delete my post and boy was I wrong. If you are interested and want to order, just mention "El Rojo loves Devil Dogs" in your comments section of your order and get free shipping on any lower receiver order for the entire order. Thanks and Semper Fi.

I've been looking for one for a long time.

Can you get your own serial # engraved on there? I want to get 20070406 which is my bootcamp graduation date.

Sorry, the serial numbers are already on them. They are already made and ready to ship.

Or instead of paying $170.00

You can get one here (http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/AR15_Superior_Arms_S-15_AR15_.223_5.56_Lower_Receiver_w__USMC_Emblem.ht ml) for $129.95

Or here (http://spikestactical.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=50) for $110.00 ($105 for stripped lower and $5 for EGA engraving)

Or here (http://anvilarms.com/pc-36-19-stripped-lower-receiver.aspx) for $100.00, I believe John will engrave the EGA on the lower for free

I am not trying to advertise anything here but I looked at his website and every lower receiver he sells is overpriced by about 50 to 60 dollars. I own four AR-15 rifles and am pretty knowledgable onthe subject. $170.00 for that lower receiver is highway robbery.

You are not so knowledgable on the difference between engravings it appears.

Your first example is indeed an actual engraving vs. laser etched. Superior Lowers are decent, but not as nice as the Centermass Lowers. I know because I have had Superior lowers and know what they look like.

Your next two examples are not engraved lowers, but laser etched. Laser etching is kind of like putting a white sticker on the outside of your lower. It is nicer than a sticker, but it is still a white laser etching, not engraved into the actual receiver.

So if you want an actual engraved lower reciever that doesn't look like you just put a white sticker on it, stick with the Superior or Centermass that I sell. I know Superior lowers and they simply are not as nice as the Centermass lowers. They are sometimes out of spec and their finish isn't the greatest. Give them a try as I really like the owners of Superior, but I am pretty sure a Marine would be more impressed showing off their Centermass lower.

My recievers are singely priced for the California market where it isn't easy to get them into the state. If you buy 3 or more, then the price gets better. You can most certainly find all of the other lowers I sell cheaper some where else. You will not find the Centermass Marine EGA lower anywhere else.

Thanks for posting.

Your right, I am not the smartest guy in the world when it comes to etched versus engraved.

You sell lowers from Spikes Tactical and CMMG for $170.00? Come on now. On my last trip back to the states I picked up a stripped CMMG lower and a stripped Spikes Infidel lower for $242.00 out the door. The laser etching you say is like a sticker but better held up really well and was beat pretty hard for the month I was home. I don't know the specifics of how the laser is done but it will not come off without the black anodizing coming off.

As for Superior lowers being out of spec, I haven't tested a batch but I will speak or the one I do have. The front of the magazine well isn't beautiful but it performs flawlessly and each of my 150 magazines drop free from the magazine well. I would not hesitate to buy another lower from them.

I have no comment on the Centermass lower because I have never heard of them, they might be the best thing since sliced bread so I am not knocking them.

This is a place where Marines come to read so I had to post a fair warning about a $170.00 lower that isn't worth $170.00. I think it is fair to assume that if every other lower you sell is priced 50 to 60 dollars over everyone elses prices on that lower then this Centermass one is probably overpriced as well.

Most of you other prices seem decent so maybe it has something to do with you being in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Kalifornia.

Most certainly, my prices on the other lowers are higher. They are higher because we can't receive a lot of those lowers direct, but have to use a middle man to get them into the state. Also, those...
