MARION, OHIO. - Nucor Steel Marion, Inc. will on Thursday recognize the men of Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines as "Men of Steel" for the extraordinary commitment and sacrifice they make for our country and families.

Nucor will honor Lima Company, represented by 1st Sgt. Joseph Smallwood, Company First Sergeant, Gunnery Sergeant Shawn Delgado, Weapons Platoon Commander, and several members of the company and their families, at its Town Hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Marion.

Lima Company has a rich history in defending Ohio and Americans going back over 60 years. The unit's most recent service to our country came at a high cost, with 22 Marines and 1 Sailor killed in the line of duty, and another 34 wounded.
"Nucor is truly honored by the presence of American heroes who put their lives on the line for the freedoms Americans enjoy and seek to enforce," said John Farris, Vice President and General Manager of Nucor Steel Marion, Inc.

"These fighting men have truly answered their nation's call, and have performed their duty with the honor and resolve that both Americans and Ohioans have come to expect," Farris said.
