I know...I post a lot but I was thinking about something and thought I'd share it with you.
Have you ever had times when you really wondered if this is what you want to do for the rest of your life or thought you couldn't make it so its not worth it?
Well listen to this...you're not alone.
2 months ago I had an accident where I fractured 2 of my toes, I wasn't allowed to run, hump a pack, or walk without crutches. My recruiter went from calling me everyday to make sure I was running to calling me once a week to see how my progress was going. I was seriously reconsidering The Corps.
So here is what I did...
Set goals for myself. Small goals, because I couldn't drive to the gym I would just practice crunches(no place for pull ups in my house) and everyday I would put my progress into a spread **** and make a line graph(nerdy, i know but great way to show progress). I also would listen to music that reminded me of everything I was going for( check this thread if you need any ideas (http://www.leatherneck.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53601)). I would watch movies or videos on youtube(this is a good one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ8PEPMOu3U)). I began eliminating all of the negative nancies in my life that put failure into my head and surrounded myself with positive people.
Try some of these things. Do what you have to so you maintain focus.
If anyone has anything to add, go ahead.
