What is the diffrence in medals badges and ribbons?Someone told me that ribbons are also medals im confused can you help me?

A badge signifies a skill or something. Like an expert badge.

A medal is a peice of metal that hangs from a ribbon.

A ribbon is a small rectangle of material. Many ribbons are worn to signify medals that you've won, but some are just ribbons- such as the combat action ribbon.
