Cpl. Stanley Ruditis III, 22, was assigned to Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, said II Marine Expeditionary Force spokesman Lt. Col. Curtis Hill. The unit is part of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

Ruditis, from Lehigh County, Pa., joined the Marine Corps on Nov. 25, 2003, and joined BLT 1/6 Feb. 26, 2005.
