Hundreds of marines return home to Twentynine Palms

Buses carrying hundreds of United States Marines returning from their tours in Iraq made their way up Highway 62's Morongo grade today at about 1:35 p.m., led by the volunteer motorcyclists that traditionally lead the marines home.
This is the second group of marines to return to Twentynine Palms in as many days. About 400 marines were reunited with families and loved ones on Friday at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, which houses about 10,000 marines.
Along the way, residents of Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms cheered the return of the marines.
