Chambliss Meets Marines

Albany - - Senator Saxby Chambliss stopped in Albany Monday afternoon to meet with our Marines and commend them for their hard work.
The Senator got a tour of the Logistics Command Center at MCLB where Marines work on specialized military vehicles.
Chambliss was shown different tactical vehicles from LAVs to Humvees and he even got inside some of them.
He says having a personal look at these things is important when he's making decisions in Washington.
"The heart and soul of this base is what goes on within the logistics center. To have a chance to see hands on what they're doing is always impressive to me," Chambliss says.
The senator was briefed on activities taking place at the base and other projects Marines have completed for the FBI and for FEMA.
The Logistics Center was recently recognized as Unit of the Year for the Marine Corps.
