Funeral today for Iowa Marine killed in Iraq

FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) - Funeral services are today for an Iowa Marine killed in Iraq in his hometown of Fort Dodge.
Twenty-2-year-old Sergeant Jon Bonnell Junior died in an explosion on August 7th. His funeral is at 11 a.m. at Fort Dodge Senior High School.
Bonnell joined the Marines after graduation from Fort Dodge in 2003. Bonnell was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1 Marine Expeditionary Force, based in Camp Pendleton, California.
Bonnell re-enlisted in the Marines earlier this year and was on his second tour of duty in Iraq.
Governor Culver has ordered all flags in the state to be flown at half staff until sunset to honor Bonnell.
