DOD IDENTIFIES MARINES KILLED IN ACTION
The Department of Defense announced today the identities of seven Marines killed in action March 23 in the vicinity of An Nasiriyah, Iraq. Killed were:
Sgt. Michael E. Bitz, 31, Ventura, Calif.
Lance Cpl. David K. Fribley, 26, Lee, Fla.
Cpl. Jose A. Garibay, 21, Orange, Calif.
Cpl. Jorge A. Gonzalez, 20, Los Angeles, Calif.
Staff Sgt. Phillip A. Jordan, 42, Brazoria, Texas
2nd Lt. Frederick E. Pokorney Jr., 31, Nye, Nev.
Lance Cpl. Thomas J. Slocum, age unknown, Adams, Colo.
