Corps surpasses July recruiting goals

Marine recruiters exceeded their active-duty and Reserve enlistment goals for July, according to a Defense Department news release.
The Corps sent 4,793 active-duty Marine hopefuls to its recruit depots in San Diego and Parris Island, S.C., surpassing its goal by 4 percent. Recruiters had 1,081 Reserve accessions, exceeding that goal by 8 percent.
All the other services met or exceeded their July recruiting goals, with the exception of the Air National Guard, which missed by 13 percent.
Retention “remains strong” in the active force, according to the DoD press release, which said all the services are anticipated to meet their fiscal year retention goals.
