BAGHDAD — Two U.S. Marines died west of Baghdad — one in fighting and the other in a non-combat incident, the military said Thursday.
One Marine assigned to Multi-National Force-West was killed Tuesday while conducting combat operations in Anbar province, which stretches from the capital to the borders with Jordan, Syria and Saudi Arabia, according to a statement.
Another Marine with the division died the same day in a non-combat incident, the military said separately. It said the incident was under investigation.
Names of the deceased were not released pending notification of relatives.
