Marine welcomed home from 6 months in Iraq

Courier-Post Staff

Friends and family gathered Monday to welcome home Marine Cpl. Brady Foster, 21, who returned on leave after serving about six months in Iraq's Anbar province.

Family festooned Parkdale Place in Marlton with yellow ribbons and hung a Marine Corps flag outside the home.

It was the second tour in Iraq for Foster, a member of the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion based at Camp LeJeune, N.C. He was in Iraq in 2004-05 and also has served in Djibouti, Qatar and Kuwait.

The son of Tracey and Marty Foster, he enlisted in the Marines in 2004 after graduating from Cherokee High School. He's considering volunteering for another stint in Iraq. If not, he leaves the Marines in July and plans to attend college for a career in law enforcement.
