They send in the Marines to do the job they are trained to do, and when 'mission accomplished' starts looking politically and diplomatically costly, they throw them to the wolves.

If we ever lose in Iraq and Afghanistan, it will be because of our own selling out our own Marines, soldiers, and sailors.

I only pray (and I'm not a praying man) that my Corps is not in the business of holding one of us up as a sacrifice when the PR gets hot.

These Marines and corpsmen should not be court-martialed - they should be awarded medals for doing the job they were trained to do. Our forces in Beirut were hamstrung from Day 1 and could not technically even shoot back in self-defense. The conviction of this Marine corporal is the updated version of that policy.:flag:
