I believe, that in our democracy, everyone has the right to voice their opinions, to take a stand, and to enlist others to support their views.
This applies to the Dixie Chicks, AND to those who advocate a boycott of their records and radio air time. BOTH are exercising their rights of free speech.

Celebrity protestors also have the right to express their viewpoints. However, (using this anti-war instance ONLY as an example) someone should point out the educational degrees earned, and professional books and professional papers and thesis written by the presidential advisors.

This should be compared with the education level of those whose celebrity lies in their ability to quote words written by someone else, to follow directions as where to stand, where to walk, where to sit, and how to deliver the memorized script, and with the opportunity to reshoot the scene for as many times until they get it right to the satisfaction of their director.

THEN their opinions, rather than just their celebrity status, can be judged.
