BEIJING, China (CNN) -- China has called for an immediate end to the U.S.-led war against Iraq, criticizing the United States for ignoring the desire for peace among the nations and peoples of the world.

Kong Quan, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said at a news conference Thursday that China was "deeply concerned" about the beginning of hostilities and called on "relevant countries to immediately stop military action" and return to the road of peaceful resolution.

Kong said China "regretted" the end of the inspections regime, and repeated China's belief that "the goal of removing weapons of mass destruction from Iraq can be attained through peaceful means."

The United States, he said, violated the U.N.'s charter with its actions and would "find itself become even more isolated."

Seems the 'relevant' countries are going forth with what is right while the ir-relevnt sit back and watch - of course, the French are having some cheese with their whine....

My wife (an immigrant and citizen) said she thinks all these countries that won't help - especially those who have been blocking us and have been openly critical of the United States should have a 1,000% tarrif on all of their products they wish to sell in the USA.

Not a bad idea....
