force recon MOS

Im going to sign my papers soon and I am looking for Force Recon eventually, is there a force recon MOS or should I just take one of the others that will be required later on? I know the recruiter has a list of all of them but if there is a Force Recon MOS than I would go in knowing, which is always a good thing.

You cannot enlist to be recon. You can get a gurantee that will allow you to try out for recon. Most will never make it.

Damn, gotta love the support. but yeah, 1) I said "eventually", and 2) even if I fail the MOS, Ill get put with infantry anyways where I can keep trying the Indoc until I get in. Its not like Im expecting to make it the first, or second, or third time. But Im workin my asss off, and sooner or later I WILL be in Recon. Oh yeah, and I got the answer from my recruiter anyways today

We aren't here to support you. And if you would have taken the time to do a search you would have seen this has all been covered hundreds of times before you came along.

As for you saying you WILL be in recon- don't set yourself up to get heart broken. Simple fact is, you probably won't.

2001- if you sign up for the guaranteed tryout and fail, you WILL NOT become an 03XX. The Corps will put you as open contract and "select" an MOS for you. How do I know???? It happend to me, when the 0321 contract option was first released. Eventually my MOS was 0411.:evilgrin:
