</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top bgColor=#ebf1f4>Back in the early 70's, Futema was the home to several squadrons... At one end of the flight line were the C-130's and next to them was HMH-462 (CH-53's).
Down toward the other end, there was a squadron of OV-10's and one that I believe house both Huey's and the Cobra Gunships...
I am thinking that there must have been a CH-46 squadron in there somewhere too..
But the question that I have, does anyone know what the Unit Number was for that Huey/Cobra Unit?
TIA
Chuck

i left kadena airbase in dec.71 i can tell you one thing i slammed my left knee pretty darn hard getting in a ch-46, they had them there.however i never paid any attention to what unit.i think i was too busy going to the slop chute and drinkin and playing the slots that never paid off.{ before i came back to the state's}or as we'ed say Back to the World}

i always wondered who first came up with that saying!

at least you know they had CH-46's.and you never forget the prop sound!
