Bad news

Well,I have some bad news. I just got a call from my recruiter saying that they are too full in San Diego right now and I have to wait untill July 9 to leave. I was so ready to go too. I'm a little frustrated but Ill get over it. Just thought Id let you guys know...

Aww crap. I know what you're feeling. I came into my recruiter's office to turn in my high school diploma and prepare the pre-ship package. I suffered a serious heel infection and abrasion a week before. I showed them my wound and they doubted that I would leave on the 25. They called LA MEPS and talked to an officer. THe doctors at MEPS will look at the wound and let me go or not. If the wound was open (it's turning into a scab now) they would have definitely said no. I'll probably get to go.

Is that even allowed? Dont you have to go through a lot of stuff to just get to MEPS? Hotel - Bus there - Security - & then what did you say when they asked what you are doing there? Im sure you just didn't say ughh hangin out hoping a spot opens. I can see that going bad. But hey if its possible please tell me how I am so ready to go.

i eas actually processing my recruiter did say i had that day i think i as supposed to leave on wed or something not sure but i edned up leavin gmonday and im happier bout that anyways mostly becauwe i got the 2 days to not be reushed and ****

Oh, well that explains it. Pretty lucky the unfortunate have to wait what seems like an eternity. :-( lol

I realize boot will be the same no matter when I go but I was just mentally ready, or as ready as can be. Now I have to start my thinking process all over again. Although, like a Marine said above, Ill have more time to prepare physically.
