New news!

I just heard that my son, Matt , was promoted to the rank of Corporal. Being a divorced Dad, I often times get news very late but this current news about Matt is pretty verifiable. If I get any photos, at all, I will pass them on to you all. Perhaps he will write. If so, I will pass on the info.
Being in a mobile unit (81mm Mortar Platoon) he is restricted to the type of correspondense available and allowable. I will do my best to keep all of you updated in very general terms.

I guess there is a whole lot of cartoon material involving mortar tubes and the placement of them. I will see what I can do.
I recently saw what they (81mm Mortar Platoon ) did. It's not just digging ditches and firing away. Man, they do a whole lot....and with Humvees included. Here is a case where the MOS title dosen't give a clue as to what they do. Being a part of the Commander's "Pocket Artillary" should keep him very busy indeed.
