I am going to see a recruiter in the next few days, and he has told me to make a list of questions i have for him. I am going to four years of college so i can be an officer in Force-Recon. If anybody here has done what i am planning on doing with the college-Recon, what questions would you suggest for me, or what did you wish you asked? Also, I have a question to anybody that can answer on how to legally practice my shooting at ranges when the legal age for handgun purchase is 21 and I am 18. I just think that if my life will one day depend on my aim, its worth starting now. thank you for your help

Why are you going to see a recruiter if you're going to go to college and then become an officer?
As for the rest, chances are you'll never be a Force Recon officer. It is difficult for a person to make it to Recon as an enlisted person. They need far more enlisted people than they need officers. You'd better be a stud if you want to go that route. Perfectection is your only hope- and even then it isn't a promise.
As for shooting, you'd be better off to not shoot until the Marine Corps can teach you how. Pistol shooting is at the low end of priorities. If you really feel like you need to shoot, do it with an AR-15- which you could buy. Wait until your 21 to try to get a pistol. No need to get yourself into trouble- because that will end your hopes of making it to your goals.

I mentioned all of this in a previous posting that was in the wrong area.
DONT go playing around with a pistol. You'll do more harm than good. The Corps will teach you how to shoot the Marine Corps way.
Instead of being a squirrel with a pistol, practice your swimming if you are considering Recon in ANY form. If you can't swim 3 miles in an ocean right now....you better start practicing. Your PT scores will need to be high first class as well.

I wouldnt be getting trained with rifle/pistol by anybody at the range. If I were to do it, my Uncle, who was an officer in Force-Recon during the first Gulf War would be the one teaching me to shoot, that way I would learn it the Marine way. And for the PT, I know the scores for pull-ups, and situps, but what is the perfect time for the running segment. (I also am aware that you need a 3 mile time of 18:00 or less for recon).

Sigh. The advice has been given. Do what you will.
Just know this, when you are getting counseled by various and sundry NCOs, SNCOs and officers for 'doing things your own way'......
We told ya so.
