Right to the point:

Age 29

Army from 2000-2003

Honorable Discharge - Medical

Had ONE seizure

the discharge was voluntary . . . i could of stayed in. . .

My MRI shows no brain damage, scar tissue, or evidence of epilepsy

The only proof of the "epilepsy" was that the EEG showed a seizure had occurred within 24 hours of the test.

The Army rated me at 10%

WOULD I BE ABLE TO GET A WAIVER ?

I AM COMPLETELY PHYSICALLY FIT

SEIZURE-FREE SINCE THE INITIAL INCIDENT

MEDICINE-FREE SINCE 2002

I am not a Marine, but I do not see why not. As long as you have proof there are no permanent affects, no repeat seizures etc. I was told they let people in if they haven't had a seizure in five years for new recruits. The best person to get information from though would be a recruiter.

Just out of curiosity, why did you get out?

First you'll want to fill out your profile before you ask any more questions - it's the rules of the forum.

I agree with Kildars. The person that can give you the best answer would have to be a recruiter or a doctor at MEPS. My humble opinion: If your MRI doesn't show it and there is no physical evidence for any problems, it should be ok, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Marine Corps will want to know what caused the first siezure.

you might want to see a prior service recruiter etc and see what he says. I am sure as long as they say you are good to go theyll probably be able to do something. I have a friend who is coming back in and had major knee damage had it reconstructed and only wa waiver was needed.

My buddy at SOI and now at my unit is 24 years old and was medically discharged from the Army after 3 years due to some shoulder issue. He was able to join the Corps no problem, talk to a recruiter.
