Attention Drill Instructors

Hello Marine Core Drill Instructors....I am going for a 9 mile run today and I was wondering if you could say something moto.....even if it is harsh lol......I would like this because I have never seen or heard A Marine Drill Instructor in real life before(only on tv lol) Also I am going to try to remember this moto for when I go to boot....(far away though...too long of a wait lol) Just wanted to get a taste of what a drill instructor would say to me....:evilgrin:

"If you can't motivate yourself to go on a little run how are you supposed to motivate yourself to rush an enemy bunker- knowing full well that you're not going to live through the assault? Shut up and go run puke."

They're here, but they aren't going to follow orders given to them by wannabes. But, if you make an idiot out of yourself here they'll know you long before you stand on the yellow footprints. You'd be amazed at the people that read this forum.

They show up rarely just to see who they can eat alive. This isn't exactly motovation but it's a thread started by a Drill Instructor, and it is very informative.

Rick - DIs are like ghosts around here - they read stuff but mainly they get a first impression of their next "victims". They sit and wait for their prey. IF you should happen to pi$$ one off, he/she will let you know and God have mercy on you. Nothing that ANY of us could put on this forum would come anywhere near what the REAL THING in your grill is like. Especially if his face is really red, veins poking out in the forehead and neck and raising immortal HELL!

Since I'm replying to a kid I asked one of my kids what a good response would be. He said 9 miles should be your turn around point. He added "hey dad you could go offer him some encouragement if he's a non hacker" He he ;)

My dad(Vietnam Vet Varine), older halfbrother(former Navy), and good friend(former Army), are all planning on pranking me to high hell while I'm in boot. You know. sending pictures of nude women and boxes of chocolate, etc. The sort of things that get you more time on the quarterdeck than in the sack.

Needless to say, my family/friends have a very sick sense of humor. They either want boot to kill me, or make the best Marine out of me possible.(Luckily, I have a good while before I even go see a recruiter, and probably a year before I'm in shape to ship)

Think of the worst possible things someone could pass along to your DI via your recruiter, or send you in the mail while you're in boot. I'm going to have a minimum of 2-3people doing this to me for probably the better part of 13wks. My dad was a Staff Sergeant when he was in, so he knows a few things, so to speak. They plan on getting creative, too, which worries me mildly, but then, what's the worst that will happen?

Lol I had a friend that just got out of boot, I sent him a pink Air Force sweater and he said his DI made him wear it ALL of the 13 weeks, couldnt take it off or clean it haha. I have alot more friends shipping out soon too so theyll be getting mail addressed to Private and higher ranks lol.

Yeah, being in boot for a few cycles crossed my mind. Scary thought to say the least. I will say, I'm going to almost regret having to shave my head, but that's life.(I just like my hair. thick, and curly.)
