Can anyone tell me anything about it, such as the different stations and what not. Also, can you tell me what different strategies that you used to pass each warrior station?
P.S.
Does any one have any fun 'war' stories about the Crucible?

Yea I do. How about doing incoming drills for literally 2 hourse straight with bloody knees just to keep diving on your knees again. One of the many painful things to overcome while out there. Have fun!

Hahaha forgot about those. One Drill Instructor in my company would yell "incoming!!" all the recruits would hit the deck, then he would yell something like "nerve gas!!" and all the recruits would have to squirm around on the deck like they sucked in a lung full of nerve agent. Even as a recruit its hard to maintain your bearing when you see that going on. That DI had a whole list of them but that one is the one that sticks out the most in my mind.
I just recently got out of the boot camp. I really hated the "incoming" bs. Our DI literaly made us low/high crawl from event to event, and even we had to crawl when every other group just did tactical walk. In my opinion the crawling was the hardest part of the Crucible.

well i know my SDI made me on 2 events to sit out because he knew i have done similar ones before when i was a kid and went to camp and didnt want me to basically cheat since i knew the answer and i think the same thing applies here.
In other words to answer your question. I dont feel it would be wise for any one to compromise the learning experience the crucible is meant to offer by allerting you of any of the events and how to overcome them before you are there. It would undermine what the crucible is meant to teach your platoon.
But it's about strategy and most of all its team work as long as you will voice your opinions if you know it will work or talk about how to complete it your squad will succeed.

I just figured that as a (Lord willing) future marine, that it would be best to go into anything that I do prepared. and this would be a way to prepare. I read a book, Into the Crucible, and it showed some of the different stations, and strategies, but not all of them, so I just wanted to learn more.

I've been doing the same sort of thing, studying up on as many parts of boot as possible, but I recently came to a conclusion:
If I know TOO much, it won't be as "fun".
Not only that, but I'm under the impression that the point of a lot of it (especially the Crucible) is to test your problem solving/teamwork skills under pressure and stress, and it's not really a test if you know the answers.
I've been to a couple of teambuilding/leadership courses in my life, and know the "answers" to many of the different challenges that might be on the Crucible; you can usually tell who knows the answer off the bat by the way they tackle the station, and that may or may not hurt you if a Drill Instructor is watching closely.

I've learned in life knowledge and wisdom are not BAD things. If you have ever heard of Murphy's Law "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong" The experience is never the same even if you know the "answers" I worked at a camp for 3 years and I did the same things every week with Aquatics and a COPE course (aka teambuilding/low ropes) in the evening. You would be surprised at what better ways individuals find to tackle a problem, how the "right" way can turn wrong, who is able to lead a group, etc.
However, its how you are able to use that information. You may know the "answer," but not being able to lead anyone to use it can knock you out immediately. Answers are nothing (a kink can be thrown in anytime)...its the answers, leadership abilities of the individuals, trust, teamwork, responsibility, humility, and being able to calm under stress that make those "answers" work!
Oh and did I mention creativity, ingenuity, and being able to work with limited resources while on your toes!

there really isnt any right or wrong. Y ou should learn more knowledge than that it isnt too important to be worried about the crucible im sure you will do fine on that its definately not hte dhardest part of boot camp.
