A couple of you may remember me from last month. I was suspended for, get this, "asking questions." Because of that, I had no interest in coming back.

However, I did want to let you Marines know about something that a lot of you were bugging me about sources for: the water situation on Camp Lejeune. Not only has it been picked up by civilian sources (N.C. Marine Camp's Water Under Scruntity (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070611/ap_on_go_ot/toxic_tapwater) by the Associated Press), but it's also on the Marine Corps website. Go to www.usmc.mil (http://www.leatherneck.com/forums/www.usmc.mil), click on Camp Lejeune Water Survey (left), click on the ATSDR link (left), and it'll show you that the water issue has been going on since the 60's (or just click here (http://www.usmc.mil/camplejeune/clbwatersurveyinfo.nsf) if you want a direct link).

Turns out the old adage "If it's good enough for the Marines before me, it's good enough for me" only works if it really was good enough for the Marines before you...who are now on medication, or have lost their children to rare diseases.

Like I said, I'm just here to share this water danger with you. I'm not going to come back and check to see what you guys say, because really, if you're going to argue this, you're just playing devil's advocate because you're holding onto some notion that your retired ass is still oorah ruff 'n tuff yut motivate kill...which, unfortunately, takes precedence over other mental functions, like that in the frontal lobe. However, that might not be to blame if you were stationed on Camp Lejeune...
