Marines formally identify Iraq victim

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. A Camp Lejeune Marine whose family said apparently was fatally shot while on guard duty was identified by the Department of Defense.
Cpl. David P. Lindsey died Friday, the military said Tuesday. The news release said only that Lindsey died in a non hostile incident that was being investigated.
The marine's father, Mike Bishop of Spartanburg, S.C., said last week that his son was shot in the head and may have been on guard duty at the time.
Lindsey was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejeune.
