View Full Version : Why can't I post in any topics on this board?
I'm sorry if this is off-topic, but every time I go to respond to a topic on this board the Quick-Reply does not appear, and the boards deny me if I click reply. What's up with this? I've noticed it's only on certain threads, but I have not been able to establish a pattern. Help please.

Because this is the ask a Marine forum. If you're not a Marine they aren't asking you. That would be my guess anyway.
So I'm not even allowed to comment to ask my own question about their subject?

Only if you post your own thread. The server will not permit anyone other than Marines to post. You cannot comment to anothers thread but you can comment to your own.

So you started this thread, now ask away!
I don't have any questions at the moment, but I'm sure I'll have some later.
Question: Is there a Marine equivilent of http://navyjobs.com/ ? Specifically for officers.

Not that I know of. But, officer MOS assignment works a little differently. Here is a list of officer jobs.
navyrotc.berkeley.edu/resources/Marine%20Ops/MOS%20Chart.doc
I saw a list of MOSes for officers on About.com, and I was wondering which was more up to date. About.com lists 0602 (my preference) as "Command and Control Systems," but the provided guide says "Communications Information Systems Officer." I don't suspect there's a difference, but which is most recent?

It is a communications officer one way or the other. I have no idea which list is more up to date. Talk to OSO and he can help you out.
That's what I thought. I'm scheduled to interview some time this September as soon as I submit my application. He's a Lt Colonel too, so I'm nervous as I don't know what.

He's a man like any other, and a recruiter so he'll be more than nice to you.
At least that's nice to know...
