2 Marines from Camp Lejeune killed in Iraq

Two Marines based at Camp Lejeune were killed Saturday in Iraq during combat operations, the Department of Defense reported today.
Killed were Master Sgt. Kenneth N. Mack, 42, of Forth Worth, Texas, and Cpl. Charles O. Palmer II, 36, of Manteca Calif. Both died in Al Anbar province.
Mack was assigned to II Marine Expeditionary Force Headquaters Group, II MEF. Palmer was assigned to 8th Communication Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, II MEF.
