I'am ssgtt32's wife, and I need some help on a paper for school.
I need to know the differences between Marine Corps boot camp and Army boot camp. If you have some information I can use please respond.

Thanks ahead of time

Hi SSgt32's wife, sorry since i'm not a Marine or army boot camp survivor I can't help with your research but there is a very nice Woman Marine that chat's at Sgt. Grits www.grunt.com her screen name is King, she's a former Marine and now an army reserve Drill Sergeant, bet she's got the low down.

I worked on an Army case last year involving their basic training. Here is the link to their basic training regulations and policies: http://www.tradoc.army.mil/tpubs/regs/r350-6.pdf

Thats TRADOC REG 350-6.

One of the Marine Corps regs for recruit training is MCO 1510.32D:
http://www.usmc.mil/directiv.nsf/82001916d226893285256d12004936dd/64fc029dfb9bc2af852568cc0060aa13/$FILE/MCO%201510.32D.pdf

You can see that the Marine reg is 12 pages long and the Army's is 197 pages - if that tells you anything.

I'll let others give you anecdotal stories about the differences, but since its an academic paper, hopefully those regulations will help. s/f

Rule number one---the Marines have boot camp, the Army has basic training. :marine:
